Big fan of the Ribeye, in vancouver I used to buy a 20lbs and cut it myself.

great on the bar b que with just some salt pepper and rosemary

The FREE 72-oz. steak came to life not long after Bob Lee opened the doors to the Big Texan Steak Ranch. In those days, cowboys still worked the area ranches and came into town on their days off to get a good meal and have some fun. Both of those needs could be fulfilled at the Big Texan. One day a cowboy came through the front door bragging that he was so hungry he could “eat the whole, darned cow.”

Bob grinned as he put the first one-pound steak on the grill and the contest was on. When the cowboy finally yelled, “calf-rope” he had consumed 4½ pounds of tasty Texas beef. Bob vowed from that day forward the dinner would be served “free” to anyone who could complete it in one hour.

Since then, 10's of thousands people from around the world have traveled to Amarillo and attempted to eat the specially cut 72-oz. top sirloin steak, a baked potato, salad, dinner roll and shrimp cocktail. Some have succeeded in completing the feat and joining the ranks of Big Texan champions. Many have failed

Whatever cut you get, you better be going USDA PRIME

Prime steak is the shiznit.

Prime Filet when you want tender

Prime rib eye when you want that heavier, juicer, fatter steak

Good ribeye is hard to beat. T-Bones are damn good too. Why wouldn't you like a strip steak and a filet all in one?

I really can't tell the difference between them. Porterhouse, ribeye, filet...

I got this tasty drunken rib eye from this restaurant last week. They marinate the steak in jack daniels or beer or something and I normally wouldn't think I'd like that but it's money.

Prime center cut New York Strip, no contest. The inner muscular fat gives it unbelievable flavor, season with kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper. Ribeyes also have nice inner muscular fat, but also have a large chuck of fat that runs right through the middle that kills it for me. Filet should not even be mentioned in this thread.
